I originally thought Ural trailers were a cop out and we had no room for one, but things change. Especially after the 3 day UAR in September, it was great riding down with another Ural but slabbing it back was so boring. Especially as my other tourer is a 21' 1250RT that eats the slab in comfort. Thanks to Howard Cox for putting me on to Just Trailers in Rocklea Brisbane. Last Wednesday was fitting day prior to painting, the guys were working out the positioning of the wheel guide for the bike. It really is a custom trailer not a Chinese cheapie, which was my first choice, I was talked out of it. The trailer is a 6x8" with higher sides, mechanical brakes and longer draw bar. With ramp holding bay placed at the front, welded tie down loops and mods to the Repco steel ramps to place and strengthen them. Where the spare mounts I thought a hand winch, but once things were set up it was easy to ride into place. Saturday is the final fitting after the painting, I've already added a central tie down loop at the rear, going to tie down the side car mount there. We are now all set for the two planned rallies so far this year, Karuah next month and the OCR in August.
