Its been a busy few months. But, finally catching up. Here is a mod I hijacked from A site in the US. This guy just happened to have a milling machine in his shop. I don't have anything close. So hand tools is it. It provides a better, simpler means of attaching the front of the bench seat. No idea why Ural did not do this. Anyway I already have a solution for the rear of the seat. See the link in YouTube notes. This is the front. Enjoy.

Excellent!
Can you just modify the existing plate, with an extended slot?

You still need to make a hole big enough for the nylok and washer to drop through. Then push it forward along the slot. I did make 2 more with longer slot, but the seat butts into the tank long before I reach the end of the slot. I also moved the hole a little further back. Yes you can modify the original to do the same. I figure the creation of a hole partway along the slot may be problematic. Which is where our friend in the US used his milling m/c. I had the material so it wasn't a big deal to make from scratch. Mig weld together and drill away. The new ones are "shmick".

Excellent! Can you just modify the existing plate, with an extended slot? Mick Its not just extending the slot. A hole is needed in the slot at the rear. So the nylox and washer, when screwed on the seat post can drop through. Then you push it forward along the slot. Just adjust the nylok to allow this to happen.
