Looking for answers to what may not be a problem. Had I not fitted 2 x CHT Guages I probably would not have noticed. At rest with engine building up temps in the cats the LH and RH temp values are close. After warm up and commencing to ride, LH side heading toward 150c THE RH side will be at 170c. Highway speed the LHS approach's 155/170. RHS will be approaching 185/190. All sensors and receivers have been swap checked so they are not the culprit. Checked the TB Balance using the Ural diagnostic tool. Seemed ok ie same numbers each side under steady throttle. (BLM and BLM2.) Very much cooler on the LHS which is opposite to popular belief re disturbed air flow. Any ideas, O2 sensor? Note: At no time has the Ural sensor under the RH throttle body exceeded 160c. Most testing carried out over 600km in ambient temps b/w 15c and 33c. Fully loaded with gear and monkey. Forgot Valves were done prior to trip. Set at .004 inlet and .005 ex both sides. Also removed the leg shields for no effect. Ideas please??

I believe there is a better air flow on the left side due to the air being directed between the the chair and bike…. Hence, lower temp. Same reason my left boot gets dirtier than the right.

Well, thats a revelation. I thought many had said more disturbed, therefore should be hotter. Is 30c difference too much?? Is it possible an O2 could be influencing mixture??

I agree with Lee, that wind tunnel from the chair could simply be it.
There will always be slight differences between plugs, fueling, air restrictions, mud on the cylinder/block or a combo of dead fried flies and stones.

There will always be slight differences between plugs, fueling, air restrictions, mud on the cylinder/block or a combo of dead fried flies and stones. Or even stepper motors leaving stuff slightly uneven. According to Matt, the difference is "normal" So both CHT gauges are now set to alarm at 215c. I saw 203c on the right side but cannot recall if i had a Ural sensor read. Will check. I have vid and audio. Just not sure if it is for that event. My question was more around whether 30c difference was acceptable.

Very happy to have your data too. Lee. Can never have too much data.
