Ok, decided to run a separate thread for temperature lowering in our 2022 GU, Euro 5.
Our bike is all but factory only with a K&N filter and precleaner for ease of servicing while on the road.
All figures below will be as we are which is travel mode so 2 humans and full gear for living off and out of the bike...and gin.
In = oil pipe into cooler. Out = oil pipe out of oil cooler. Outside Temp = Outside ambient air temperature. Speed = How fast we weren't going Diff = Difference in temperature
Based on this we are recording the difference for real world info, not what some bloke at the pub told you that his mate had one (and a cat) and he heard from his brothers mother's sister cousin 😁
In out temp speed diff 48.1 41.2 23.5 60 6.9 51.6 41.3 24 80 10.3 48.52 41.50 21 80 7.02
...more to come.

And how are you measuring this? What was the terrain. Dead flat or climbing Kilaminjaro on a a snotty dirt road, with a 100k/HR Head wind?? I know SA and WA. Its called "the doctor". Every arvo it will blow you're face off unless you're travelling with it. Just messin with ya Andi 🤣🤣

Its good to see accurate data. Just to clarify, seeing we are talking about 2nd gen EFI bikes, when you list the speed as 80, is that 80mph?

LOL...no it won't even do 80mph, defo 80Kmh, hatch, will write at the top of each splurge about the conditions they were measured in...I can even put translate there so you can tune in with Ozzie thinking 😂

Today was slow going, 4x4 track, lumpy, corrugated and sand.
Doing approx 40kmph in 3rd so just doodling along due to lumpy surface.
52.2 40.80 20.3 40kmph 44.8 34.6 18.9 40kmph and partially downhill

Ok, today's results.
Conditions were tail wind, around 60 km/hr, front tyre 16psi and SC tyre 16psi, pusher 30psi due to corrugations 150 deep and super soft sand
Out In ambient temp 34.6 44.6 19.3
80 km/hr, tyres the same as not pumped up yet, gravel then paved road with a head wind, I was wearing blue undies.
Out In Ambient temp 36.7 52.6 19.9
Interesting to see a bigger difference when pushing harder from deflated tyres and a head wind.

Was the tail wind 60kph and were your grundies clean?? Probably more drag due to lower pressures on tar seal.
I would love to see some correlation between cooler oils and CHT. Might just have to talk to TSV? or put an oil temp guage in. My meat thermometer wont cut it.
