Anzac day , 25 th April . Helene and I are heading off on a multi day ride.....maybe six. You are invited to join us and would be most welcome.
Leaving from Beaudesert and heading to the Border ranges,Richmond ranges, Mallanganee, Jackadgery, Dalmorton, Old Grafton rd., Glen Elgin, Washpool, Spirabo, Tenterfield, Girraween,Maryland,Condamine,White swamp,Boonah and then back to Beaudesert and home.
Bush camping all the way , unless we find a nice park . 5 trillion stars is always better that 5 stars.
At a rough estimate it would be 80% dirt roads / tracks and some a bit gnarly.
Need to be totally self sufficient with food ,water, and appropriate camping gear.
Meet at Maccas car park in Beaudesert ( 114-120 Brisbane st. ) Mt Lindeasy hwy at 7.30 , bike fueled up . Departing 8.00 am
Contact on 0408 707 909
Cheers,
Andrew.
UPDATE ...We now have a fine gaggle of Uralists comming on the ride so will have to cap the number at that. If anyone is still keen please contact me in case there is a cancellation .

I'll be trying to join you Andrew & Helene. Hey Chris, I am trying to find some super gnarly shit tracks / fire trails that I know you will like . Have you ever done a reverse flip on a Ural ? Narrow Pass fire trail , it looks a bit steep but the views from the lookout are 'spose to be pretty good.

We are going to try and get a few good rides in during the year so will keep in touch. Retirement is not an option for me as I have too many bikes to look after. Lucky you.

Eight Ural adventurers on five bikes set out on a beautiful Anzac day morning for a weeks riding around some of the countries best bush tracks around Northern New South Wales . The eight consisted of Bob and Sue , Darren and Deb, Chris , Russell, Helene and myself and it was a good test of man, women and machine as some of the tracks were nothing more than rutted out cow trails that only a Red 'P' plater with a beaten up Hilux ute should have been on . As in my first post for the ride "80% dirt roads / tracks and some a bit gnarly" As expected the bikes came through unscathed . Camping under the stars with the fire roaring and Chris reciting from the book of 'Banjo' made for some very memorable occasions and at 1200 meters high it felt like you could reach out and touch the stars. The weather gods were very kind to us with glorious clear warm days and no rain until the last day on the way home but that was OK because it helped wash a weeks worth of cow shit and dirt off the bike . Narrow Pass fire trail got the better of us and we thought better of trying a very steep off camber right hand bend up to the lookout , I think a reverse flip and a roll down a 500 meter cliff may have resulted but apart from that the bikes were unstoppable . Could not have asked for a better bunch of people for this ride and a big thanks to all for making it so much fun. See you on the next one.......OK , I will pick some easier roads . Andrew.
