With the arse end of Marcia making it a rainy day and good garage time what else to do but fit rim locks. Fitted one to the pusher, the steer and the spare. Also fitted spoke ball wheel weights, never did like stick on weights on spoked rims. I used the Motion Pro LiteLoc 2.15 in. If you are goint to fit them remember that the lock on the rear wheel goes four spokes before the valve stem and the lock on the front wheel can go opposite the valve stem. Use the old valve stem hole for the lock and drill a new hole in the correct size for the valve stem.

Good move Andrei.
I have a Tubliss system in the drive wheel which works well at low pressure when required.
On a run through deep sand last year with 8 psi all round, the front and chair wheels both had the valve stem pull out of the tube, due to no rim locks.
Cheers, Geoff.

Yeah Geoff I wouldn't leave home without them .
Will do the chair rim next weekend, I thought three tyres on and off in one day was enough.
Back in the days when you were allowed to tear the crap out of the sand dunes on big bore two stokes we would run two locks on the rear rim and 5 psi and have a ball.
Not only are the locks good for low presure running but also good for holding the tyre on the rim when you have that high speed blow out.....high speed and Ural , do they go together ?
Trying to hold half a ton of loaded Ural after a sudden blow out at 80 kph with the tyre rolling off the rim doesn't sound like much fun .
