Anyone fitted a SS bumper to a 14 Tourist ? What mounting points on the chair were used. Rear: The two front bolts of frame/body brackets ? Front: The two rubber plugged holes that are under the foot brace ? My bumper bracket holes are nowhere near these locating points. I have emailed Jon but checking anyway. Thanks, Macca

I fitted one to my '09 Tourist, which should be the same. The rear mounts use the existing sidecar attachment bolts, and the front mounts were drilled in the sidecar to suit.

Thanks Norm. The rear mount holes are at least 15mm out of line with existing attachment bolts. The front brackets obviously should bolt to the strengthened foot rest area where the 2 plugged holes are located. Otherwise they are just attached to the body panel, that would be a bit ordinary to say the least. Waiting for Jons opinion but if that bar is for my Tourist its gunner need some serious mods. Boot lid bracket that abandoned ship on the first ride was replaced by Jon in todays parcel post. Warranty & Good service .

Macca, I found the rear mounts were way to wide to line up with the sidecar mounts. I put a rope around around them and twisted it in the middle to bring everything into alignment. I just drilled holes in the sidecar to suit the front mounts. With Urals it's best not to over-think matters. My '10 Tourist's front bumper is mounted the same way, and it was either fitted by Jon or the factory.

What he said . Think the bar is more for hanging a spot light off rather than taking a big hit to protect the chair. You reckon it is hard to fit the bar , wait 'til you try and change the air filter .

Thanks blokes, looks like my assumption of where bolts should go was a bit off. Guess Im not accustomed to the Ural way as yet. I recon with Norms rope trick, or a ratchet strap, I can get the rear bolts. I will be checking to see if the front brackets can be re located to fit with the existing holes under the foot rest. The extra support under there would almost make it a real bumper as the SS is sure thick enough.A bit of cutting welding and polishing should fix that. All part of the Ural experience. Rear rack & RHS pannier frame, a decent switch/plug/fuse panel in the chair(who designed that thing),wing nuts to remove the chair windscreen, power to the bars for GPS,all on the drawing board. I have read about the air filter Anderi. Gunner be fun

Glad I got the optional "easy change" air filter with mine. I would have hated for it to be a hard job for the last 8 years. Every job on the Ural is a job done with love.......... lee

Air filter? Two thumb screws ain't hard... Our's are easy to change; the EFI air filters, I'm told, are are different matter. Same as swapping the pusher with the spare.......... "Progress" comes with quite a cost.

At least next year they'll have a new starter motor! Err... when was the starter motor ever a problem?
