Blairy. Where did you get your tow hitch. Also how does the bike go and more importantly stop with the trailer.

Re the camp stretchers. I know how you feel about sleeping on the deck Tigga .Even with a EXPED synmat 9 the old bones are complaining .I just noticed that Helinox has listed a new wider camp stretcher that I reckon could be ideal but the $400 price is a bit hard for me to justify 😧 Great quality, super light, small package but big $$$ You bought a nice looking little trailer mate I hope it works out well for you. Cheers, Macca

At $900 for a trailer with only 100km on it was a steal.................. the camp stretchers I use were $69 aluminiun ones & give me the height to get moving from......the helinox ones pack very small but.... are way too expensive as their chairs were, now we have Chinese versions on the market at less than 1/4 the price, plus they are too low to the ground for me. At 69 yo with both ankles fused & other aches & pains their not for me.......................

The tow hitch you have to make yourself, & the trailer pulls nicely, you don't know it's there, but I am running a 2012 Retro with Power Arc Timing which I think helps. Stoppin, that's another question.... not real good so you need to ride accordingly, on bitumen it pulls up OK, but on gravel you really need to plan your stops & make sure you don't turn the handle bars, not even a little bit. I found on dirt if I put some body weight forward over the front wheel it helps. Perhaps with the newer versions with discs all round they would stop better.....................

With my first little homemade trailer behind a R80 with chair, braking on dirt was ok. The problem was forgetting the trailer was there and power sliding in corners.......almost lost it over the side on one narrow winding road from Lake Eildon down into Gippsland.

I'm betting a China copy of the wide Helinox stretcher will be along soon I can wait or maybe find an alternative that's just as wide and packs small. Mr ALDI should be able to come up with something
