Removed rear wheel.Stripped the Allen key heads out of two of the four disk bolts, removed them with a Aldi damaged screw remover.Attempted to remove the K37 Heidenau with the Ural leavers, binned them and used Ballards leavers that actually work.Cleaned and inspected rear wheel spline, worn to points ,ordered another from Clare. Checked spline on final drive, about 30% ? worn, will be checking again after the SEQ Sep ride. Checked brake pads, worn out in 5.000km,replaced with spares. Next: New button head bolts made from steel( not cheese) for disk and spare wheel can go on rear.Wait for wheel spline to go on spare wheel.Buy brake pads for spares kit. Thats a pusher wheel tyre change on a 2014 Ural ,+ the 6 Allen head bolts on the bad spline look to be installed with a power driver that's deformed the heads, this is gunner be fun.😠 Pics have gone to Clare🔜 Mothership. PS, Mothership will warranty the wheel spline that's worn to points but not the FD spline that 30-50 % worn.I bet the FD spline is worth about $10 to them, silly 😝

You MUST keep the splines clean and greased. My current drive spline has now done 50000km.....the first one only did 20000km.

Just changed the pusher tyre on my 2008. Put the already well used Duro knobby on for the last trip. It had done about 4000km previously and had 3mm of tread left when I fitted it to the bike and it did the Oodnadatta Track, the Birdsville Track, Walkers Crossing, the Streszeleki Track and the 1000+ km of bitumen to home......do you reckon I got my monies worth ?

Reckon there is a few more km left in that one Lee,canvas isn't showing yet 😃 Re the splines: I had used the Honda moly 3 times in my 6000 km,probably the horse had bolted in the previous owners first 6,000 & I was too much of a newbie to realise just how worn they were. It never entered my head to check the spline on the spare wheel and compare the two ,I reckon it's never been used. i will order a FD spline and change that soon, warranty or not 🙄 50,000km + will do .
