Booked in. We will be staying at Porepunkah Friday night 7th. I will be going to the Cold Flame rally at Pinch river, on the Barry Way, on the Saturday and returning to Porepunkah on Sunday. It is camping only at Pinch, and a lovely ride via Omeo, Suggan Buggan. Approx 260km. I may return via Jindabine just to make a round trip. Anyone is welcome to join me. Lee

VARSTy 2014 is looking to be quite an event, the largest private (non UA organised) gathering of Urals in Oz. Every one is welcome, even non-Uralista. The arrangements are quite simple, just book your accommodation and your in. Its not a rally, there are no badges, no awards, no egos, no pre-arranged rides or events, no expectations. In line with the Ural features we have come to appreciate the event is low-key, low-structured, laidback, simple and allowes indivual freedom. Join in where and when it suits. So far eighteen outfits have indicated they are joining the fun; some for the full 12 nights, other for between 2 and 6 days. The four caravan parks / camp grounds are reserving a block of cabins and powered sites until the end of December. From January onward bookings will be accepted by the parks where possible. Each town has multiple parks and I expect vacancies will be available up until mid March. These people have confirmed either their booking, or their intention of making a booking:
John & Jan - Motorhome - booked Rob & Robyn, - booked Porepunkah Lee , - booked Michael D, - camping 1st six nights Andrew C, - confirmed booking Lou & Lyn , - booked Anna & Peter, -few days Scott & Lisa-Jane, - booked Ross & Julie , - 1st 6 nights Paul (PrestonPaul, - unpowered
These people have confirmed their intention to join in. I am aware some plan to share, and some will probably camp, and some hope to come buit are unable to confirm. If you want to share cabin accommodation then I suggest you contact someone in this list. I will provide contact details, if needed.
Chris D Norm Jon and Vicki Bob S Skip Dave & Annie Mick & Julie Charlie & Cathy
And these folk are interested in coming along if possible: Jack Watson Stephen Davis John Tainsh
We will start the tour at Porepunkah (5km from Bright), and move on to Yarrawonga, Eildon and Castlemaine, staying 3 nights at each location.
We will decide each days rides and /or activities as we go, and individuals are able to join the main group or do their own thing. The ride is an opportunity for Ural riders to have fun with other Uralists, both by sharing riding adventures and general socialising.
All Ural riders are invited, and those who want to join in only have to arrange their accommodation directly. We have made preliminary arrangements with caravan parks details of which are included below, but If people want to ride with us and stay in 4 or 5 star luxury then that's quite OK. The parks have a variety of accommodation for those who wish to camp, stay in cabins (private or share) or travel with motorhomes.
Anyone interested in sharing cabins can let me know and I will put all sharers in touch with each other so you can make appropriate bookings.

G'day Norm, Took a while, but I've finally locked in the time needed for the VARSTy "yippy" tour.
So I'll see you at Porepunkah after the usual visit to the Cold Flame Rally, for those who have the time and can make it, you will be rewarded with stunning scenery, and a very lay back rally.

Got room for one more? I plan on being at the Cold Flame Rally; I've wanted to camp on the Barry Way for a number of years.
