Have a great trip. If its possible I will try to catch you in Melbourne.......keep us informed. Your times are a bit optomistic...take a tip from a well travelled one and limit your speed to 90kph max. Let us know which way you are going from Canberra. God forbid you should have mechanical issues but there is much help here in Melbourne......
Travel safe and enjoy.

I'm going to agree with Lee. Even at 90kph max, average speed will be less than 80kph with fuel and comfort stops.

Have to agree with the comments above re. estimated distance covered, speed etc.
My trip from Lithgow NSW to Yuendumu NT on the Tanami Rd and back home via the Oodnadatta Track in August had me averaging 328km per day over 18 travelling days (rest/camp days not included in the calcs.) Your projected average works out to be 447km/day.
Allowable cruising speed and distance covered per day is obviously a function of many things, your own personal stamina, tolerable fuel consumption, load carried, road & weather conditions, the machine itself, etc, etc. For me, I found 80km/hr to 90km/hr felt best. Also my payload (self included) was about 100kg overweight.
Check my post in this section from August, you might find a bit of useful info there regarding fuel consumption, average price/litre etc.
Sounds like a great run, have a safe and enjoyable trip. Let us know how you progress.

Hello Nathan. I agree with all the above and I would strongly suggest a night in Albury from Canberra, there's a bed and garage parking here for you (Zillah would love the company), let us know. Enjoy the ride and don't go through Albury without calling in. Orders! Rob 0407 254 368.(E:briardale@exemail.com.au)

Your kms/day are OK mate! BUT! the time you reckon you can do them in………I don't know. Keep us all posted because it's a good Ural exercise in kms/day, hrs to do them kms and whether your rig will stand up to the speeds needed to stick to your posted trip times. In any case mate there is a great TOUAREG saying "Better to walk without knowing where, than to sit doing nothing" Good on you and safe travels. Cheers Wheels

I agree with Wheels... the times are not even nearly realistic. The distances you could do but after the first couple of days it'll be a grind.
You aren't planning on coming down here (Bega) but yell if I might be able to help with anything.
