So is appears you can't buy starter motor brushes. Jon sourced some springs some time ago but officially the only thing you can do is buy a new ($384) starter motor.
The auto electrician is working on adapting some brushes but is there an existing alternative?

Can't believe your brushes are worn out......😳 I have put springs in and brushes were fine. Get your elec to check the solenoid contacts, that was actually my problem when it seemed like poor brush contact.
By the way, there are two alternatives.. Kick start. Push start in second gear. 😜👍😝😀🤣😂
