I've never had a vehicle have the odometer "rollover". Because the original speedo was increasingly inaccurate (showing 120kmh at actual 85kmh) I bought a replacement a while ago. The old speedo showed 99999 this morning, so I installed the new one. I hope it's more accurate. Attachments:

Too much water being splashed on it? Who knows! But I one of a small group who have regularly seen the speedo needle stationary on the max speed of 160kmh

Hi Wayne, dont be too put out by my sense of humour. I do feel your pain..... I use Penrite and its good stuff. I was using Valvoline when the crankshaft bearing failed. I hope you enjoy better luck with the new engine. Lee

Yep, Lee. Penrite is OK, just not synthetic or semi- synthetic. A friend who worked for an oil company (and owned boxer twin BMs) said the splash lube system has a problem picking up enough synthetic oil to do the job properly. No proof, yet, but worth thinking over! Should be back on the road mid next week, God willing and the creeks don't rise!
