Just read an interesting article on the Ural blog! A comparison between a 1WD cT and a 2WD Gear Up Sahara on the famous Hatfield McCoy trails. The real interesting part was the performance report of the Heidenau K67 tyres on the 18 inch rims of the cT which replaced the stock K28,s (which are not that great when you need grip) Looks like the Heidenau K67 is the answer to cT or Retro owners that want a bit of off-road grip for their 18 inch rims (and apparently still deliver on the tar) and is a very similar tyre to the 19 inch Heidenau K37 which is a great tyre.

In 100000km of travel all over Australia using 6 different brands of tyre with 3 different tread types I have come to the conclusion that there are three things that are of utmost importance for the best handling on both dirt and tar and the all important to some............tyre life. 1 Tyre pressure 2 Tyre pressure 3 Tyre pressure
The best brand tyre I have had on my bike is...................all of them........that have done 10000km on the pusher ( off road only MX knobby excluded ) although that tyre when 90% worn had fantastic feel and control on the tar. Itβs a Ural........learn to steer........learn to slide.........have the right tyre pressure..........forget about what brand name is on the side of the tyre.
