A good link Andy Replacing the rear with spair : Step 2 is better than my old ( handbook ) way of taking out the caliper bolts to remove caliper. Dropping the caliper and mounting bracket off the reaction link isn't as simple as the vid shows but doable .Next time I will check if any mods can be done to to help . Thanks for the good find 👌 Macca

I use a long extension and undo/loosen the reaction link bolt from the right side of the bike. Doesn't need to be removed, just backed off a few turns. The one thing I like about dropping the entire caliper that way is that the caliper retaining bolts don't need to be re-loctited and there is no chance of losing a retaining clip in the grass.

No bolt in the reaction link on AJ but the thread for one was there 😃 Andy ,Now with a bolt and there is l fair amount of play in the nylon bush ,can you get enough movement in the link to drop the calliper without undoing the bolt at all ? I will check when I need to remove the wheel again but for now just wondering 🤔 It sure is a better method than than removing calliper bolts with pads and clips all playing silly buggers on assembly.

Thanks Andyh, answered my question of the use of the spare wheel on all wheels. I was under the impression that the spare didn’t fit the front or chair as per the owners manual I have (2017) I’m very glad you shared the links, thanks.

Remove the two bolts that mount the link to the caliper mount. Lift the link up high out of the way. Remove axle. Spread the pads slowly using the mount as a lever. Lift the caliper out of the way while it is still on it’s mount. Remove wheel. No need to touch the forward reaction link bolt or the caliper bolts....😀 Better still........fit a Brembo caliper same as on the front in place of that standard pos. lee

I keep reading this Lee and can't picture it. The reaction (torque) link can't go up - can't go down either till the axle is removed. Agree you probably don't need to loosen the front bolt (the one Macca didn't have) but if the nylon bush it pivots on isn't worn, like mine, it didn't want to drop down and allow easy transit of the tire.
