G'day all. A Ural meet up has been organised for 2/6/18 Beautiful downtown Rosewood, 9 am at "Harry's Place" coffee shop , about the centre of the Main Street with a council car park across the road . All welcome in the hope this could lead to more + maintenance & ride days in the future. Cheers, Macca

Funny riding into Rosewood and seeing a Ural coming the other way. Great to meet Macca but the best thing to come out of this was chatting about how weird our Ural's are and confirming just how odd we must be to ride them.
I got to see how much rolling resistance Macca's rig had on the rear tire because I always thought mine was excessive - turns out they are about the same - so piece of mind there. Macca got a free ECU read and his throttle bodies are spot on at idle and 2,000 - Idle was right at about 1100.
So to all the other guys and girls in SEQ - see if you can make the next one. Plenty of shared knowledge going around and the coffee wasn't too bad either.

A great morning Andy ,thanks for the Fi check mate, that sort of stuff is way beyond my pay grade We will do it again with more leed time so maybe other Ural owners can join in the fun . Cheers, Macca

I rode down and as far as I was concerned nothing has changed with my bike - the vibration through the pegs when the engine is delivering load or breaking is still there. So after a few coffee's and general chit chat we went for a ride and swapped bikes. Here is Macca making off with my bike while I was distracted. Finally caught up to him before he crossed the city line. So what does he think? Macca reckons there is nothing wrong with it. It is a little more "buzzy" that his but he really likes the clutch. What do I think of Macca's? Smooth power delivery across all the gears, rides well and does some of the weird things mine does. It was really educational riding someone else's bike. It felt very similar and made me feel like maybe I am imagining this vibration thing. Anyway good way to waste a few hours on a Saturday - Apparently Macca and I are the only two Ural riders in SEQ?
