Just for your edification here is a K28 with 10,000km on it.

10,000km and still plenty of meat left! Impressive.
I have a K28 fitted on the rear of my 2015 Ranger and so far I'm quite happy with it. Still early days for me with only a couple of 1,000 k on it but it travelled about half of the Oodnadatta track and got me back home ok in August.
What pressure do you run? I'm running 32-34 PSI in mine (depending on load), I reckon the specified 40 PSI for the Duros is a bit too much - all the wear happens in the centre of the tyre. Need to see how the K28 travels long term. Yours is encouraging.

Yes the wear starts in the centre and it happens a whole lot faster the hotter the tyre gets at low pressures. Less than 40psi also creates a bit of corner wallow. Two of my hates are wallow and wear. I have run numerous brands and all have been good for 10k if the pressure is kept up and the 6ply tyres wallow the least. Of course, if you are only doing short runs all the time, the tyre temp does not become an issue.

I run 26 in the front K28.

I've noticed the K28 has a stiffer carcass than you'd expect in spite of only being 4 ply construction. OK, so I might re-think my pressures and up it a tad. Thanks for that. It goes against the grain a bit to have to scrap a tyre which still has maximum tread depth on the edges while it's bald in the centre. I think that also says a lot about the actual contact patch on the road. Still trying to achieve a good compromise between tyre wear and secure handling.
