I'm not saying I'm going, because I know well what happens when I do that, but I'm going through the motions as if I am.
I'll surprise myself when the time comes.
I'm still wondering whether to ride all the way or trailer it to SA and go from there.

Some of you have a little bit of experience with this area... if I were to do the OCR then Cameron Corner, would you care to share some thoughts on fuel requirements and other stuff that might make preparing a little easier?
I'm thinking 35 litres extra should do it?
Is the idea to meet somewhere and ride together to the rally or just make our own way?

310 to Birdsville 426 to Innaminka 430 to Tibooburra if no fuel at Cameron corner......apparently they occasionally run out. Leave your trailer at home Ross......

Leave your trailer at home Ross...... Is it really that bad? Ross, you will use heaps more fuel dragging that trailer along the sandy roads...... The roads are usually fine but can be soft.

The most spare fuel we carry out in the bush is 2 x 10lt "just to sure" but have never needed it all.

Experienced heads are saying the chances of the OCR going ahead are poor and Maree has been floated as an alternative destination.

Experienced heads are saying the chances of the OCR going ahead are poor and Maree has been floated as an alternative destination. Checked the road conditions this afternoon . Monday 27 June . All roads North of Marree are closed still. If you get caught driving along any of these roads you will need deep pockets as the Fines are very steep. Lots of water still flowing down from the North East catchment areas of Queensland. Guess time will tell , they say the LR Weather is for more wet stuff to fall from the heavens . Rob
