It's all here.
Proof of concept only, and lots of engineering from Zero Motorcycles. Also three press stories.
It may well be the way of the future for lots of motorcycle companies, including Ural. All they need is to get the range up to the 500km area, as the current prototype only has a range of 160km. Good for commuting, but not really respectable enough for touring far.

Totally agree, actually I am really surprised that one of the EV conversion garages hasn't taken on the Ural already.
I guess that is due to the ridiculous prices asked on used models.

Yes Indeed! There is some hope!
However, I would like to see some "authentic" news from IMZ, Ural Aust, Ural USA, something other than a seemingly authentic U tube clip.
I'm still waiting.....
Cheers

Note comment in post by Andrew Duthie, the well regarded Nashville dealer refers to confirming information ex Ural HQ, this appears to be genuine. Did some research re Kazakhstan, may not be a bad choice given political and economic reforms and also logistics involved in moving gear 600 miles rather than thousands of miles. I think Vlad the Invader wishes he had not started the latest shit show, it would be a difficult sell trying to convince the Russian people that he had found more Nazis in Kazakhstan.

John Heindl confirms that move is on [but not location of new factory].
Interesting that apparently the factory move had been planned well prior to Ukraine invasion.

A 500km range for the EV Ural sure would be good. They are constantly making big improvements in both the capacity and recharge rates for batteries. Hopefully they standardise the battery in EV solos. Then I can see the same battery being used in the Ural. Possibly 3 or 4 prismatic batteries for a Ural. Maybe there will be a system where we can book ahead to a roadhouse and they will have four charged batteries waiting for a swap and go battery change.
