Good morning gents, on our bike the positive on the right and earth on the left, short of taking the seat etc off which isn't a 5 minute job, any of you run a small isolating switch in case the smoke comes out of the wires?
Thoughts, isolated on right hand side through accessible side cover?
Cheers Andi

Never seen that as an issue and the seat can be a 30 second removal with a bit of modification.

Heya Uralee, is the mod the one that Haitch did?
Just one of those things I have been thinking about, tomorrow we hit the road so there will be some stuff to do but keen to know anyway.

Cheers Andi Yes Andi, or similar depending on which seat you have. Mine is the 3/4 seat and I have it mounted with just two nuts accessed from the top………..with spanner in hand it is a 30 second job while sipping on a coffee. 🤣

Coolio...what sort of Coffee .
We wanted the 3/4 seat but ended up with the full enduro seat, it will do.
We went to Ripco, Supercheapo and Autrobaan today but nothing, no stress was just keen on having something to help prevent theft and also in the unlikely event of the smoke falling out of the wire.
Just need a new gear lever now and we will flash as Micheal Jackson
I like easy access in case things get interesting very quickly so will pursue this given the battery isn't easy to get to in a hurry.
Cheers Andi

We may not have needed to buy it was to give the case some space, not sure how much movement is in the chair 👍, more of a safe than sorry at this point

Put a strap around your spare. It will rotate as the heat melts whatever glue they use on the rubber pads under the spare. My mod to the seat will be left as is, but leaving the nut off at the front and wrapping some electrical tape around the stud, pushing the seat front on will be my next trial. Then, if successful it may only be a 30 sec removal.

Good advice thanks mate, we have done 2 days days with a shakedown on some back roads (Bloody stunning too), today I sat there with the ants and with a glass of Red Wine (Ozzie Shiraz) and tightened everything I could see, some bolts were barely finger tight
I see the earth goes only one strap from the battery to the block so I might just stick a quick disconnect inline just in case something goes AWOL in the middle of nowhere.
