Afternoon fellas, ok, we had a few funnies with regard to PO and sidecar brakes. For the most I have it sorted, Tas from Tassie and I bled the brake systems and replenished the oils so happy with that.
The push rod had been cut down on the SC brake so I have remedied that too.
With all adjustment made correctly with appropriate free play we still have to preload the SC adjustment in order for it to play the game0.
So our issue is one day it will pull up straight, next day it will pull left with SC kicking in first, next day the pusher will come on and for every other possible randam sequences it so feels like.
Any suggestions or throw it into the " it's Russian" bin
Cheers Andi

Please define “pre-load the SC brake”.

Please define “pre-load the SC brake”. Free play between rod and position cup = little to no SC brake. Screw rod in tighter past no free play to get SC to work = preload on the cup...not good. I know both adjuster rods should have free play or clearance to piston but no SC brake if this is done.

SC master cylinder piston not returning fully? They can clagg up if water gets in.
Also, are the SC brake pads worn out?

Bike is only 6 months old with 7800k now so shouldn't be warn out, going to do tyre change etc in a week or so and will check all pistons for working order, will check the pads in the am.

You might be surprised how quickly they can wear. Also check that the disc is firm on the bobbins. If loose it will wear pads faster and knock the pistons back.
ps. With the earlier rear caliper I could only get 4-5k km. out of the pads and not a lot more from the SC.

On 2022+ the SC and pusher pads are the same. Only fronts and hand brake pads are different.
