At least you can get outa trouble with that as you don't use the rear brake much anyway ?? Yep, that's the idea. I will carry it as a spare on the long desert trips. It packs up pretty small without the brake backing plate. On the Klr sidecar........there are a few about but mostly home built lightweight things. I think the Klr could handle the Ural chair weight ok.

Fitted LED lights to the speedo. BA9S LED 12V replace 2W - 4W Available from Wemoto. You have to strip down the speedo and remove the green lenses for the lights to fit as per - myural.com/speedometer_disassembly__repair.htmAnd this is the result.... The first time I've been able to read the speedo at night since buying the bike in 2010.

Don't think I want to know how fast I'm going at night.... ...scary enough just not being able to see the road.

Just fitted a rear rack. The bit right behind the seat has been on three bikes and two trailers for a top box. The other bit was added to put the tent or whatever else. Another pic later with top box on.

How or what modification did you do to the carby pistons / slides? Chris D in Ippy. I looked at the Kawasaki pistons ( same carby ) they have three ports, ours have one. Lee Lee .. In the Klr650 threads on ADV there goin the Harley slide in the Klr650 now and I'm goin to do that when I have a he money myself for my Klr650 but I'm just wondering if the same Harley slide will fit the Ural carbs better as well .. Now with my blown motor its goin to be fixed if I get this job down at Gunnedah Nsw to but for now I'm goin to buy some hack mounts from Dmc sidecars in the states for the Ural chair to fit my Klr650 till the motor is rebuilt on the Ural ...
