Putting my hand up to organise ARSTY'19 starting in late April early May 2019…..4 or 5 days at Killarney (on the Qld/NSW border) and 4 or 5 days at Tenterfield (NSW) ending up at Uralla (ural headquarters) on the last day. Both Killarney and Tenterfield offer some great day rides with the ride between locations offering gravel and tar roads with pleasant! easy! riding with some nice coffee stops. Robyn and I have ridden the area fairly extensively. It is picturesque with both easy and challenging rides and the caravan parks we stay at in Killarney and Tenterfield are excellent offering a range of nice cabin accommodations. The camping spots are grassy well maintained sites and the camp kitchens first class. ARSTY'19 will be a great opportunity for all the Northern NSW and Qld Ural owners to participate in!….an ARSTY event closer to home! at last! Anyone interested?
Cheers Wheels😎 A note re my above post!….All ARSTY events are about comradeship, fun and love of riding our Urals!….I would hate for anyone to be put off from attending by the mention of "challenging rides" etc! the event is not about that! and even though they are part of the agenda I will ensure that an alternative organised ride is available (on the day) for those that wish the less demanding or challenging ride…..to be frank the only true challenging ride is the Condamine River Crossings/Gorge ride out of Killarney (dependent on river heights) and even though it is short it entails 14 crossings of the Condamine River and is NOT easy! but is an incredible challenge on a Ural (both my wife Robyn and I have done it on our Urals and enjoyed every moment of it) If that ride comes off it will most likely be the only one where the group will split up and even then meet for lunch and continue our ride together😎

Dates for ARSTY'19….Wed 8 May 2019 to Frid 17 May 2019 Wed 8 May……………..Meet at Killarney Qld 9,10,11,12……………..Ride days Mon 13 May…………….Ride to Tenterfield NSW 14,15,16………………...Ride Days Frid 17 May…………….Ride to Uralla or Maclean
Initially I mentioned finishing at Uralla but I have tossed in another option which may suit and give those trailering a choice. I have spoken to Clare at Ural Australia and she doesn't envisage any problems with those trailering their bikes to leave their cars and trailers at Uralla if you wish to do so (you would have to arrange this yourself) or alternatively you can leave them securely at our place at Maclean and travel to Killarney on Wed 8 May with Rob and I on an out of the way scenic route (some dirt). There are great accommodations in and around Maclean and good camping as well if stopping overnight. For the SE Queensland folks that work and can't make the whole trip there is the weekend of the 11 and 12 May at Killarney that you could take advantage of and would make a great weekend. I will post at a later date the contacts for the caravan parks at Killarney and Tenterfield that we will stay at. Rob and I have stayed at both many times and they are brilliant. Both have excellent and varied accommodations and great camping spots. I will do the same with Uralla and Maclean. Best of all NO public or school holidays to interfere with ARST'Y19. Even at this early stage it would be great to get a response from anyone even remotely interested in participating just to get an indication of attendance. Any comments would be appreciated and taken on board (with appropriate changes if necessary) but please remember you can't please everyone all of the time!
Cheers Wheels

Just a quick one! I would appreciate anyone that uses the forum to spread the word on ARSTY'19 via social media!….word of mouth! etc...as there are a lot of Ural owners that don't follow the forum. I will be following it up with Clare at Ural Australia. Cheers Wheels attached some pics in the Killarney area!

Rob and I riding up toTenterfield and Killarney next week to finalise arrangements with the caravan parks for ARSTY’19. Hope to get discounts for us all! When we get back I will get all the Park details posted on the forum so anyone attending can book early. Clare(Ural Australia) has kindly posted the ARSTY’19 forum link on Ural Australia Facebook and already interest being shown. Things shaping up nicely! there are going to be some great day rides.
Cheers Wheels😎
