Thanks Wheels. Yes I am finding out that the Ural is a big beast as well as heavy, cantankerous and, oh you know the rest. Am still looking but agree that you have about the best I have seen. A problem here in NSW though with it having brakes I think it needs a roadworthy every tear. Oh the joys of living in Queensland. Used to.

Hey Uralee, You must have modified a 6x4 I was looking at an 8x4 fold up. we are short of space so it would be good but it would need some re engineering to be even close to wide enough. Only 1225 between guards. PS has anyone had anything to do with Carlex easy trailers??? Bolt together folding trailer. bit scary? but they get them registered.

From memory you only need 1240mm between the guards.......

I have a standard flatbed motorcycle trailer that I was thinking of modifying to fit the Ural onto. Where are those photos that you promised Lee? 😊

The fold up Easy Trailer from SA Carlex I think, is not wide enough in the 8x4 which is the widest folder they make. Have seen pics from USA. They have the same thing, that shows outfits on them. They add a bit of deck (outrigger I suppose you could call it) behind the wheel mudguard on the chair side and the sidecar wheel goes on this. Have not seen one of these trailers in the flesh but the fold up idea is a good one for those with limited room They look a bit light on in the pics but the 750kg rating would be enough for Ural. Anyone seen one of these???

A friend used to tow one behind his outfit. Looked like a Mechano set on steroids and the bolts kept vibrating loose.

Yes that's the one. Comes as a kit. Bolt together. Dunno why it should come apart if it was tight to start with, but hey, Ural riders have been known to venture into the rough stuff.
