Yes it is fast looking like I am going to build one but we couldn't subject our baby to the tow vehicles muck. Will build a frame for a tarp over it. How did you ever get that bike clean?

Love......😎 After today’s ride it’s a bit like that now!...I gave up a long time ago trying to keep it looking like new or even clean for that matter!...to many nasty dirt roads to often!...Jon Taylor once told me....”Keep your Ural a little clean and apply a little Lanox”...good advice!😎

urals make you do things you wouldnt do. I used to snigger at people who trailered there bikes to events but well for long hauls it appears it might be easier trailing the ural. So ive been looking at getting an 8x6 trailer made that will transport the ural and do other tasks.
any wisdom would be appreaciated.
Ramps, what is the best way to go there, i did have a look at some ATV,Golf cart trailers with rear ramps, but now thinking that limits the trailers ability to do other trailer jobs.
What is the best way to restrain the beast, mine has already had a ride on a big flat top after destroying a tyre, the operator tied the ural down by the wheels, it was dark so I didn't see exactly how it was done.
I have found a local builder who is happy to make what I want so I have a blank piece of paper
I'm thinking torsion suspension, to reduce height and improve the ride.
thanks in advance
Phil.

The Stonegate 8x6 mentioned back in this thread is a ripper. Probably cost a bit more now but I paid $2,320 in Dec 19 (on the road). It’s the 1400kg ATM one! heavy duty tilt trailer and for a Chinese built, Australia assembled trailer it’s good value for money and a well built trailer. The Ural is held down with 4 heavy duty ratchets straps coming off hold down anchors on the floor in each corner of the trailer. No need for ramps the tailgate works great with the trailer tilted. There is a small 12v winch on the front of the trailer to load.😎 www.Stonegateindustries.com.auedit...the first Ural trailer I had I built myself (a pic is in this thread I think). All up it cost me $4,500 and that didn’t include labour, so it’s pretty easy to see why I said the Stonegate trailers are good value for money.😎

My trailer was 6’ x4’ 2” flatbed. Did thousands of k’s with the Ural on it. It is illegal to have any overhang outside of a box trailer so 8x5 as Paul said but you can fit a Ural in a 6x4’2” box if you set it all up correctly (but with overhang).
I will look for a photo.
