The numbers are very small and inside…..take a good look, never seen one without numbers…….but maybe 😂😂 I can't open it. It's a sealed unit with all 16 pins populated with a tails of different colours. Look in its mouth….👀

Nope, not there either. No matter its sorted. Counted across and continuity checked 16, 4 and 7. For colours red, orange and black. Red = power, orange = earth and black = Kline.
Thanks Lee.

I've got the guys at OBD2 Australia who I've dealt with locally before co-incidentally in another business getting the factory to make the Ural 2019+ cable fully assembled and bring in a batch of 10 of them. Availability about 3 weeks away. I'll post up a link here for anyone who wants to buy one - they'll be about $30. You can also buy a bluetooth OBD2 dongle from them as well for about the same. Did you ever get or, do you still have any 6 to 16 Pin cables from OBD2?

The only "small" issue with the K-line is if you are testing with an Ohm meter (that puts 9v into a 5v circuit) or if you connect it to the 12v power wire for whatever reason.......the smoke will escape from the ECU. For the uninitiated with electronics......only ever test anything with a volt meter while is connected to a computer. I've cobbled together a cable to connect to the OBD ll / USB Link to my rig. Technology not being my strong point would some kind inmate please advise if what I've done is correct.

Yes as long as you have power at 16, earth at 4 and K-line (ecu) at 7 then all will be well.

I do, but the cable isn't long enough to get from the family room to reach the shed. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. ☎️👎. Get a mobile phone off someone who has updated theirs. You do not need service, just the bluetooth. Or, if you have wifi on windows 10 then buy an OBD unit that is wifi capable….park close to the family room.

My original plan was a Windows 10 laptop and OBDWiz so I could also sync the injectors. Can you do this with a mobile phone? All this brings me to another niggle. I've never been able to successfully use the ignition key cycle to get error codes following the EMS light coming on despite a numer of tries at different cycling speeds. Any thoughts?
