I’ve just ordered some parts to build a Bluetooth scan tool and obd2 connector cable combo for the 2019+ bikes.
if it all works I’ll build a few more for anyone who wants one, I think the parts will come out at about $80-100 including a Bluetooth scan tool. The software is freely downloadable to your iPhone or android phone.
I’ve got access to a 2020 bike to test it on (my neighbours), which is handy!
there seems to be some limitations in that it doesn’t read all the parameters the ural dealer tool does ( in particular rpm according to info on Soviet steeds) but it WILL allow you to read and clear fault codes if required which in itself will be useful
will report back on progress….

About $10 for connectors and a $35 OBD reader…..works just fine. The URAL OBD software app for your phone is proprietary and will only work with their expensive reader…….unless you can break their code. Either way, you cannot do throttle balance. ……..And why would you need it to read RPM when you have a tacho in the speedo ? Mine reads all codes including head temp. and clears codes easily.

Thanks again Lee. For all that info. I have all the gear you mention. But, still waiting on the plug that goes into the ECU. coming from you know where on a slow boat. We do need a source in Oz. I couldn't find one.

Wilmo, I purchased a double ended female OBD cable for $12 and the Furakawa was only $4 something. So I managed cables for Gen 1 and Gen 2 for $20. Scanners cost range is infinite but they don’t all work. Ali express and eBay are your friends but delivery from China is not 🤣🤣🤣

But that included Chinese New Year holidays. From Aliexpress. Be prepared for an influx of advertising.

The rest come from a supplier in Perth - obd2australia.com. I’ve used them before. Easy.
