Excellent, we will be leaving lunch time Tuesday for Stirling North just 5km out from Port Augusta, staying at the Fullers view cabins the night then its an easy 166kms to Kimba.

The first time I took Phil on a Ural ride his reverse light fell off........he bought a new mount from the lovely Clare after I had told him to leave it off. Well it fell off again today, but at least we finally have found a use for a Ural reverse light......  |

Well it fell off again today, but at least we finally have found a use for a Ural reverse light...... Finally... they must have bought a few container loads. Surely they could have found something a little smaller if they just had to have one. |

Internet access extremely difficult and very slow in the Gawler Ranges but I assure you we are having a ball and will post lots more about it when we get to the Port Lincoln stage of our tour....
We ARE out here doing it guys......

Great pics and report Lee.Sure looks like tough country & fun Macca it’s one place that you definitely don’t want a lousy machine. The country is remote! Spectacular! and Hard! A couple of days ago we all did a 250km round trip from Mt Ives Station into the Gawler Ranges proper and we got dealt everything the place could throw at us!....Pits of Bulldust! that meant a couple of filter cleans....corrugations that made you wonder what the f#*k you were doing there!....stony tracks that threatened serious tyre slicing and were slow! slow going!....and every now and then beautiful long flat sections of dirt that you could fly along! BUT! You better be paying attention because if you drop into a pit of Bulldust you are in deep shit😖 But what a place for riding a Ural! The best👍 |
