Just a recap on info for this adventure as its only just over 2 weeks away. Kimba Cafe meet at/on Wednesday 4th of April . 43 High Street opposite the Post Office Kimba Visitor Information/District Council Office. 9 Cross Street , open 0900-1700. lots of free books/maps with info for the area and last minute purchase of the Gawler Ranges National Parks Pass Kimba has a free camping area located on South Tce/Schaefer Ave
South Australian National Parks fees are listed on the website www.environment.sa.gov.au/parks/entry-fees/parks-passes/multi-park-pass Pre-purchase online or last chance is at Kimba Council Office The 60 day holiday pass will cover : Gawler Ranges. Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay National Parks pus several others. $40 or $32 concession per vehicle .
Day entry is $10 per day per park or $8 per day per park concession.
Port Augusta: Natural Resources Centre SA Arid Lands located at 9 Mackay Street also facilitate the purchase of the SA Parks Pass .
I shall within the next 7 days post any info on the road conditions for the Mt Ives area.

The Speed Trials have just been on at Lake Gairdner and I believe they went via Iron Knob. It is shorter, but I am happy to see Kimba as well..👍

Yes the speed trials were on at Lake Gairdner, I had some friends attend they said the road was very average.
The difference in distance is about 67Km longer via Kimba.

Saturday 31 March .
Mt Ives report the road conditions from Kimba to the Station property are very good.
See you all on Wednesday at the Kimba bakery around 12 noon .

Where are you wheels , making tracks thro South Oz ? Rob! We are leaving Geelong early next Tuesday morning! spending the night at Burra! then away early Wednesday morning for Kimba. Only bringing the one Ural on the trailer this trip! My GIRL! can drive me around the Gawler Ranges👍
