ARSTY move to Killarney today...What a great four days riding we had at Tenterfield with the highlight being our guided tour on Saturday. It was a long day with some adventure thrown in and we got to see some isolated historical sites that are not accessible to the public. To top it all off a barbecue at one of Bronwyn and Bills out stations then back to Tenterfield with a setting sun.
Many thanks to potential Ural owners Terry and Fiona who organised Saturday’s event. Terry and Fiona we all look forward to the day when you get your Ural so that we can return the hospitality you showed us “Thank you”.
Another big thanks to Bronwyn and Bill for allowing us onto and guiding us over their spectacular properties (Terry if you could pass that on it would be great even though it was done by word of mouth).
One thing that really stood out at Tenterfield was the community friendliness. Every where you went people were interested in our Urals and what we were up to showing true country hospitality.
Tenterfield we’ll be back!

ARSTY so far!...Three cracked Final Drives and one flat tyre....we’re doing good!!
Congratulations to all for successfully completing the Condamine Gorge River Crossings, it is truly a Ural milestone. A lot of happy smiling faces and sense of accomplishment at the end of it. A late lunch at Queen Mary Falls Cafe then a brisk down hill run to Killarney.
Tomorrows ride...Killarney to Woodenbong via White Swamp Road then onto Urbanville and back to Killarney. Lunch at either Woodenbong or Urbanville!!

That’s it! ARSTY 19 done and dusted. A big thank you to all of you folks that attended and made a truly memorable ten days riding. The camaraderie, good humour and standing by and looking out for your fellow ride mates was unsurpassed. No doubt there are a few Ural repairs (mainly final drives) to be undertaken in the upcoming weeks with maybe a few cracked brackets here and there and a few electrical problems to be sorted but it reinforces what we all know!...our Urals are one tough, reliable machine! To those that have a long haul home travel safely and looking forward to our next ride together. Cheers Wheels😎  |

Hi All ARSTYiers, better make that 4 - discovered a fine line crack in my final drive today - wasn't there when we first went to Killarney - is there now! Damn!!! I'm not going to do anything yet as it doesn't seem to be doing much - just a smear of grime that was hiding the crack. Will watch and see.

G'day All,
Jenny and I arrived back in WA a week ago after our various eastern states adventures.
I cleaned the Ural today and had a look for why it refused to crank over with the starter button towards the end of ARSTY'19. It didn't take long to discover the blue wire had pulled out of the starter relay socket under the seat. Luckily I looked there first before pulling the handlebar switch block apart.
Peter was having a starter button issue as well. I haven't heard whether he has since resolved it.
