- listening to Wifi always has benefits. The male flanged Molex and gasket on the bike is only $3 - not sure how much the pins are but returning the bike to normal wouldn't be that hard. One component supplier I didn't try was WES because I don't have an account, they may sell pins individually.

Lee!.. real interested in what you and Andyh are up to with the ECU's. What will be the end result of all your doings with them? I assume you will be able to balance each cylinder? Maybe I'm going up the wrong track here!…but if for instance you modify an exhaust system for the better or make the air intake more efficient will you be able to enrichen the system so it won't run lean or is that another issue? i am sure a lot of folks that own EFI models will be interested.
Cheers Wheels😎

No go on adjusting fuel or ignition mapping through OBD2. OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics. It is a world standard for diagnostics and mandatory on all motor cars in the US since 1996. Every version of software I have seen can only READ the data from the ECU. A change mode does exist, but never seen it activated by any vehicle manufacturer. So, other than having the ability to reset / remove a logged code from the ECU, OBD2 cannot change anything. The fact that you can get a readout of air flow from each throttle body as well as read RPM means it is a good visual tool for balancing the two individual throttle stops for idle speed. You can also use the readout at a higher RPM to set the throttle cables for matched throtte opening (air flow). It is exactly the same procedure as balancing carburettors with vacume guages or a manometer and the same outcome.
FYI......OBD2 can read live data and fault codes. The mil light on the bike will give you the codes via flashing ‘morse code’ when you initiate the test mode by a sequence of switch operations ie. ignition on...kill switch on off on. An OBD reader, or software in a PC or phone gives you both access to live data ie. rpm...cylinder temp....air flow......fuel ratio and can read the codes. From memory, there are about 100 readouts possible.
Hope this is helpfull 😀

Cheers Wheels😎 My end result will be the ability to balance the throttle bodies - as far as I know the ECU mapping isn't changeable in the same way it is for other brands of bike and won't be in the foreseeable future. Having said that there are guys that have removed the CAT's and opened the air box to allow it to breath better so maybe something is out there that I haven't read. Squeezing an extra horse out of it doesn't interest me, being able to perform a servicing function without dragging it to a shop does

Bought the female Molex terminals from Jaycar........obtained 4.......didn’t think I needed 100 😜
Andy, my cat has dissapeared and my air box is slightly modified. Don’t know what version of mapping is installed.
