Finally got out and did a hundred K's to warm the engine. Unfortunately it rained so there was a delay between getting home and hooking the cable up and getting some data.
870 RPM 2070RPMHead temps listed, not very hot but the Good news is that there isn't much difference in Manifold kPa at idle compared to 2000 Rpm. From what I have read a few kPa isn't worth worrying about. So after all that making cables, installing software and arsing around I don't really need to do anything

You should get the pins tomorrow - I used my cable today to reset the idle speed to 1050 which is right for the fuel map that Merv loaded. The little adjustment screws on the base of the TB's are very touchy and there is some lag between adjusting and reading which might be my Laptop but I got pretty close to 1000. At idle and 2,000 RPM the bodies have about a kPa difference so I am happy with that and will be leaving the throttle cables alone.

Ran OBDWiz on Macca's rig - good balance - good idle speed. Interestingly his ECU's are coded to the bikes VIN. The engine has 379 hours of run time on it. 19 hours of Idle time. Guessing if you divide the kilometers done by 360 you will get an average speed. 172 hours since the Trouble Codes were cleared which might be the time you have the engine rebuilt?

Thanks again Andy . It looks like I have an average speed of 58.3 kph & the 172 hours since the new crank and latest map were done sounds about right. Good stuff & nice to know . Cheers, Macca

Just a quick update - I have only used this about 4 or 5 times, once the idle is set there doesn't seem to be much point and it has become a diagnostic tool more than anything. Cleared the fault codes - (Did this after the engine vibration issue to see if anything changed - it didn't) checked it twice since and there are not faults shown on OBDWiz so the codes may be some legacy issue. Had an error message from OBDWiz asking me to go on-line - seems you have to do that occasionally so the software can validate the licence (if not your program will lock you out and you have to reinstall which happened to me and I lost all the user files ). You don't need to be hooked up to the bike, just go on-line and plug the cable in. Check for software updates while you are there. I think my version is 4.2.2 now. I made two dashboards - metric and imperial. Happy to share the files - PID's and dashboards, just let me know. Bottom line - is it worth it? at around $200 I think it is. I heard from a forum member who's local dealer charges $180 to hire the cable from Ural Aust to check the TB's - seriously that is garbage and probably deserves a pointed letter to IMZ in the US. My dealer, despite his faults only charged me for the re-map, something we can't do anyway.
