Fairlead not set up yet , still looking into where to put that, I can run a miniature climbers snatch block and secure with climbing tape as a first thought, that’s what I have in my recovery kit. As for winch mounting I don’t know how to weld so went to a sheet matal fabricator and had a 1/4 inch plate cut and bent, its 210mm x 106mm and secured to two places, one along the frame and the other on the cross member. Can take close ups if you want. Pretty happy with the set up. The metal plate cut and shaped cost me $27 so I thought that was pretty good value.

Maybe once everyone gets their bikes we need to do a get together somewhere like Bright, Mita Mita or Corryong. We could do a border Rally of some sort. Jake

We have a 2011 Tourist with a 2,045 kg winch mounted on the front of the chair. It was useless when we got bogged. It was great when putting the rig on a trailer!

Yes, you need to pull as close to the bike as possible and a loop back to the r/h side will help. Mounting on the front of the chair is a simple fit but not the most useful place. Mine is set up for both forward and reverse pulls……..I can also do a vertical lift.
